Functional Description The candidate is responsible for the management and execution of the infrastructure projects, typically involving the development and implementation of infrastructure components to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality.
Job Description Provide technical leadership for the execution of projects, including in the storage and application disaster recovery areas. Delivery of infrastructure will be performed by infrastructure suppliers, so all projects must be executed within the architecture and operational framework agreed by and our infrastructure suppliers.
Main activities: - Work closely with IT suppliers to deliver projects - Manage the work of the technical resources for the projects - Be the focal point on technical issues between customer and IT Suppliers - Work globally with business focal points to direct data to the right storage tier - Facilitate knowledge sharing; document best practices - Prepare regular status updates on all projects
Must have: - Project management or Technical project lead experience. - Skilled in the area of technical data storage or technical data management - Experience participating in a virtual team of people delivering services/projects - Knowledge on Netapp storage solutions - Knowledge on Application disaster recovery solutions - Pro-active attitude - propose and execute technical and service related improvements. - Customer focused and pro-active attitude - enjoy customer facing, taking end-to-end responsibility. - Be able to work with various specialized multinational support teams to bring complex requests or problems to timely resolution. - Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written. - In-depth analytical and troubleshooting skills on a variety of platforms. - Open to new challenges and good adaptability to various technical environments - Strong willingness to learn, improve and share knowledge
Nice-to-have/preferred: - Knowledge of Landmark CDS - Practical Linux and Netapp experience - Experience in multinational/multicultural enterprise. - Exposure to the Exploration and Production business
The successful candidates might be required to participate in an on-call rota and/or perform out of hours work.
